Community Standards

1. Our Community

Ta-Seti Academy, Inc. is more than an educational institution. It is a learning community dedicated to the responsible study, practice, and transmission of the Authority Transfer Framework™.

Every person who joins the Academy contributes to the character of that community.

Our Community Standards describe the values that shape how we learn together, communicate with one another, and uphold an environment where meaningful education can flourish.

These Standards are intended to inspire rather than regulate. Behavioral expectations and enforcement procedures are established separately in the Academy's Code of Conduct.

2. Our Purpose

The Academy exists to cultivate thoughtful, ethical, and competent practitioners of leadership, governance, consent, communication, and authority transfer.

Learning is not measured solely by knowledge acquired, but by the character developed through disciplined inquiry, respectful dialogue, and continual self-improvement.

Every participant contributes to that mission.

3. Our Shared Values

The Academy encourages every member of its community to embody the following values.

Respect

Every individual deserves dignity regardless of background, experience, identity, or perspective.

Respect begins by listening before responding and seeking understanding before judgment.

Integrity

Integrity is demonstrated when our actions remain consistent with our principles, even when doing so is inconvenient or difficult.

Learning requires honesty with ourselves as much as with others.

Accountability

Growth requires accepting responsibility for our decisions, our conduct, and the impact of our actions.

Accountability is not punishment.

It is the foundation of personal and institutional trust.

Curiosity

Questions are welcomed.

Learning begins with curiosity and matures through thoughtful examination rather than unquestioned certainty.

The Academy encourages intellectual humility and lifelong learning.

Professionalism

Whether participating in a classroom discussion, workshop, forum, or public event, community members represent both themselves and the Academy.

Professional conduct reflects consideration, preparation, reliability, and courtesy.

Stewardship

Knowledge carries responsibility.

Community members are encouraged to use what they learn to strengthen themselves, contribute positively to their communities, and support the ethical development of others.

Consent

The Academy recognizes consent as a foundational principle of ethical human interaction.

Consent is informed, voluntary, ongoing, and may be withdrawn.

Respect for autonomy extends to conversations, relationships, collaboration, and educational participation.

Humility

Expertise does not eliminate the opportunity to learn.

Every participant, regardless of experience, remains both a teacher and a student.

Humility allows growth to continue throughout life.

4. Our Learning Environment

The Academy values thoughtful dialogue.

Members are encouraged to:

  • ask sincere questions;

  • explore differing viewpoints;

  • support ideas with thoughtful reasoning;

  • engage respectfully with disagreement;

  • contribute to constructive discussion;

  • encourage learning in others.

Learning flourishes where ideas may be examined openly without fear of ridicule.

5. Our Responsibility to One Another

Every member contributes to the quality of the Academy community.

We strengthen that community by:

  • communicating respectfully;

  • honoring confidentiality where appropriate;

  • welcoming newcomers;

  • encouraging responsible participation;

  • recognizing that every individual is at a different stage of learning;

  • helping create an environment where others can succeed.

6. Continuous Growth

The Academy recognizes that learning is an ongoing process.

Mistakes become opportunities for growth when met with honesty, reflection, accountability, and a willingness to improve.

Excellence is not the pursuit of perfection.

It is the continual pursuit of becoming more knowledgeable, more responsible, and more capable than we were yesterday.

7. Living These Standards

These Community Standards express the culture Ta-Seti Academy seeks to cultivate.

Every participant shares responsibility for preserving an educational environment characterized by respect, accountability, curiosity, integrity, professionalism, and ethical leadership.

Together, we build not only knowledge, but a community worthy of transmitting it.
